Position Overview
The Utilityman, Territorial will maintain structures, including but not limited to repair houses, paint and move furniture. The successful candidate will also maintain yards and grounds within Hydro's territory.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Perform yard and ground maintenance
- Perform structure maintenance
- Perform minor carpentry, painting and plumbing tasks
- Drive light truck
- Load, unload and deliver materials and supplies
- Use a variety of common hand tools
- Use and proper care of required tools and equipment
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Actively participate in safety training, job safety planning and tailboards
- Knowledge of Accident Prevention Manual as it applies to the job
- Work independently, as well as work with others
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in grounds maintenance (5 years or more is a plus)
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
