JobPurpose:

The successful candidate will take responsibility foroversight of daily Procure to Pay operations, delivering process improvementswithin the end to end Supply Chain process (e.g. Accounts Payable, Procurement,Inventory Management, etc) and support the overall Performance ExcellenceStrategy.

PositionResponsibilities

The candidate will be expected to support thefollowing strategic activities within Procure to Pay in order to drive valueand performance for the overall Supply Chain:

Procureto Pay Operations Support

This role encompasses:

  • Monitoring thehealth of National Grid's ERP system as it relates to Procure to Pay
  • Extracting dataand analyzing information from multiple systems to support and optimizedepartmental goals
  • Reconciling GeneralLedger accounts, preparing accruals and forecasting
  • Administering thecorporate card and employee expense reimbursement programs

ContinuousImprovement

This role involves working with the management team tosupport the development and implementation of the Supply Chain Process andPerformance Excellence Strategy.  Thecandidate will personally:

  • Support managers,analysts and buyers on the new ways of working within the Service DeliveryCenter with ongoing regular engagement to sustain the journey to deliveringperformance excellence and achieving lasting behavioral change
  • Build a networkacross National Grid to share best practice
  • Support ongoingdevelopment of end to end processes, to remove waste and increase value

Projectand Program Management

This role will include managing and facilitating teamson small to large projects to drive efficiency and value for Supply Chain andfor the supported business functions. Responsibilities include:

  • Coaching &facilitating teams to deliver tangible business benefits as it relates toprojects across areas Supply Chain
  • Organizing andfacilitating workshops to define issues and develop solutions
  • Managing small tolarge projects to deliver cross-business efficiencies, benefits and change
  • Developingbusiness cases (with benefits, costing, ROI)
  • Crafting &delivering presentations to management level
  • Supporting thePMO mechanism for managing projects and programs, including communications andchange
