Position Specific Description

Currently, we are seeking a Chemistry Technician to join our team at our Turkey Point Nuclear Plant. This dual unit nuclear facility, located just south of Miami, FL. produces 100% carbon-free energy, enough to power the annual usage of more than 900,000 homes. In addition to the responsibilities below, in this role you will also be responsible for evaluating data, initiating action, and providing recommendations for plant operation to assure continued nuclear safety and long-term asset preservation. You will also use and maintain complex analytical instrumentation; while verifying precision and accuracy using quality assurance methods. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's degree with college level chemistry and physics coursework.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision:
- Performs sampling, in-service testing or testing and measuring of radioactive contaminants and chemical properties of various liquid and gaseous streams in nuclear plant systems and components
- Uses safe laboratory practices and ensures compliance with regulations, procedures and policies in conduct of daily work
- Maintains records, evaluate trends and draft procedures
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 2+ years
