Westinghouse Electric Company, Western Zirconium Plant, in Ogden, Utah is hiring entry level production operators to work in a manufacturing team environment. Responsibilities are to set up, monitor, adjust and operate various types of manufacturing equipment and processes to produce zirconium metal within dimensional specifications and quality standards.
Work schedule: Full-time positions. Regular shifts are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (days, swing or graveyard). 4x4 shifts are four 11-hour days on, four days off, average 38.5 hours per week (rotating days and nights or non-rotating). Applicants must be able to work any shift.
Set up and operate various types of industrial equipment to produce required product within dimensional specifications while monitoring processes in order to detect potential problems and make necessary adjustments to ensure a quality product.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified candidates must have:
* Ability to work any shift including nights and weekends
* High school diploma or GED certificate
* Six (6) months production and/or manufacturing experience (may include industrial manufacturing using raw materials and machines, production or assembly line work, farm work and machinery, construction work and automotive repair)
* Ability to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. frequently
* Pass company-paid physical including drug/alcohol screen
