Description
The Material Coordinator is responsible for receiving, storage, care and custody of inventory and the distribution of materials required for Pipeline Construction and associated scopes. The Material Coordinator is also responsible for the complete organization of the lay down area.
Must be Local to Fort McMurray. No Camp/LOA/Travel.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the offloading of materials from carrier.
- Upon offloading, inspect the materials for damage, overages, shortages, and compliance with purchase order specification (both physical compliance and documentation compliance) and document and report the results of the receiving inspection in accordance with the Quality Assurance System Program and HSE Program (as appropriate).
- Upon completion of "Receiving" of materials prepare a receiving Material Receiving Report (MRR) and Over, Shortage and Damaged Report as necessary.
- Organize, verify, and file all receiving and vendor documentation in accordance with the Quality Assurance System Program and HSE Program.
- Storage of the materials in a suitable manner and environment in accordance with the Quality Assurance System Program, HSE Program, regulatory requirements, customer requirements and vendor specifications.
- Upon receipt of nonconforming materials, identify and tag the material "nonconforming," quarantining the materials in the appropriate "Quarantine Area," notify the Quality Assurance department and enter the appropriate data into the materials database.
- Maintain care and custody of the materials in accordance with the QA System Program, HSE Program, regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and vendor specifications.
- Upon withdrawal of materials from inventory enter the appropriate data into the database, as per the QA Systems Manual to update the materials status.
- Upon notification of shipment requirements by production or the Project Office, prepare the materials or finished goods for shipment; load the shipment on to the carrier in accordance with the QA Systems Program, HSE Program and client requirements.
- Ensure that all appropriate documentation has been completed and included with the shipment prior to the departure.
- Complete all documentation and database entries to update the materials database and appropriately document the shipment.
- Perform periodic materials inspection to verify materials counts, conditions, locations, and status as directed by the project office, operations management and the QA Systems Program or HSE Program.
Requirements
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in shipping/receiving/stores capacity.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or the Petro-chemical industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Superior knowledge of Pipe, Fittings and Valves
- Familiar with "Bagging & Tagging" or "Kitting" process
- Knowledgeable and experienced with a formal QA program.
- Familiar with HSE regulations pertaining to the care, custody, storage, and handling of goods, materials, and consumables.
