Job Description
- The LiDAR Analyst is responsible for the analysis of remotely sensed data, including but not limited to LiDAR and aerial photography from all types of sensors which could include aerial, terrestrial and/or static platforms. The LiDAR Analyst is responsible for the Quality Assurance /Quality Control of post-acquisition LiDAR data in preparation for final product generation.
- Feature coding - 2D / 3D feature coding of collected LiDar dataPlainmetric collection - Using MicroStation to create vectors for mapping purposes
- Ensure the data is free of gross errors or anomalies
- Ensuring data meets required accuracy specifications and feature specifications
- Keeps track of hours spent on tasks and miles completed and inputs into spreadsheets or database accordingly
- Receives feedback on work completed from the Quality Control group and uses this feedback to make further revision as well uses for further self-development/ improvement
Other:
- Promotes and behaves in a fashion to support GeoDigital's Cultural Pillars
- Complies with company policies and procedures
- Performs other tasks as required
Requirements
- Related work experience
- Post-secondary educational in Geography, GIS, Geomatics or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- High level of computer literacy
