Description
SUMMARY:
- Assigned to a field construction organization in a general or single discipline supervisory position.
- Multi-Disciplined Field Engineering responsibilities including Rebar, Earthwork, Concrete and Piling experience.
- Receives routine supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.
- It is also the responsibility of the Civil Field Engineer to understand the project plans and engineering concepts and be able to build to them as required while maintaining the highest level of quality, productivity, and safety.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Problem resolution and inspection of field installations.
- Work with the concrete, rebar, and formwork suppliers to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
- Work with Procurement's expediting team to ensure the delivery of vendor materials to support the project schedule.
- Assist in the performance of technical reviews of all required subcontractor submittals to assure compliance with the requirements of the subcontract
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Ensures the most current design documentation is being utilized to complete activities
- Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field OR 5-7 years field experience
- Knowledge of rebar construction operation.
- Must be computer literate and familiar with Windows operating systems.
- Ability to use Excel spreadsheets effectively, enter data into database, and navigate basic file management systems is required
- Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in joint venture environments preferred
