Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled algorithm development and data analytics engineer at Greenlots, a leader in interoperable networking and management solutions for widespread deployment of electric vehicles (EV). The candidate will play a key role in the evaluation and development of analytics for Greenlots’ charging stations to provide services for electric grid management.

The candidate shall work with the diverse team of researchers, software engineers, and other key partners to take the product development ideas, specifications, and system architecture that integrate and control charging stations, EV, and the storage systems, to thus support algorithm development and decision-based analytics. The candidate shall support the team to develop a commercially deployable platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

With general guidance from the project lead, the position requires one to primarily apply the algorithm development and analytical skills to:

  • Support team to work with customers and partners in evaluating the technical requirements and defining data intelligence and analytics for smart charging scenarios based on multivariate conditions.
  • Assist in conductive development of algorithms and modeling based on a comprehensive quantitative analysis and an iterative testing process.
  • Support the data definition requirements and software development team using primary and secondary data and data-driven decision-support system.
  • Provide feedback to develop software platform that monitors, analyzes, and controls the charging stations and related systems for grid management.
  • Use evaluation insights from data-driven metrics to assist the management and troubleshooting of any development and commercial deployment issues.
  • Create analytic scenario planning and forecasting tools.
  • Work with talented and cross-functional team for timely and quality results.
  • Promote organizational excellence by staying abreast of developments in the EV industry and evaluation methods.
Requirements

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Masters Degree with 2+ years experience or Bachelors Degree with 4+ years experience in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or other related area of study or related work history and experience.
  • Related experience to include projects based on algorithm development, complex statistical methods, data analytics
  • Preference with experience in and econometric modeling, market research, and/or strategic market assessment.
    Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and other statistical analytics tool such as R, linear programming, etc.
  • Passion for development of analytics for state-of-art technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
