Today, Alstom is ramping up its activities to meet market demand in Canada, and is looking for experienced and talented individuals eager to join Alstom to face these new and exciting challenges.

For our Ottawa Service Project, we are looking for a Maintenance Lead Engineer.

Overall Purpose of the Role

  • As Maintenance Lead Engineer, you will:
  • Ensure maximization and delivery of peak operational performance
  • Ensure product safety is maintained to the highest standard.
  • Be the technical leader of the organization

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Project Manager, and to the ALSTOM Service Engineering Platform, you will:

  • Ensure project / contract performance targets and objectives are met.
  • Implement performance improvement planning and management to ensure project success.
  • Implement and manage ways of improving unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Maintain product safety by performing or managing investigations and implementation of recommendations in relation to the QRSM
  • Maximize maintenance and overhaul / Renevals periodicity.
  • Development of processes, components and methods used by Alstom
  • Production of the necessary Safety and Reliability and maintenance documentation as, including documentation supplied by suppliers, integrated or not as appropriate.
  • Preparation of technical specifications and program requirements for subcontract equipment suppliers, including the preparation of reliability apportionments and calculations.
  • Ensure the production of performance project reports and KPM to agreed standards.
  • Lead and / or participate in the project.
  • Provide a key support link and feedback to the maintenance team, performance unit is included in the maintenance plan.
  • Support the maintenance teams in resolving disordersome / difficult fault investigations as required.
  • Provide system data and investigations as required for supporting central engineering activities.
  • Initiate, control and monitor modifications and special checks
  • Reliability growth monitoring through failure data analysis.
  • Risk Assessments
  • Ensure assistance with other projects
  • Manage a team of 3 people
  • Update CMMS
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Engineering degree / Equivalent
  • Minimum of five years experience in railway engineering management / Maintenance, infrastructure especially in Power and Track or Sig / Com systems
  • Be trained in Accident Reporting and Investigation.
  • Knowledge in Rolling stock environment.
  • Project planning and management experience.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Rail safety and railways standard knowledge.
  • CMMS knowledge
  • Team Spirit, Customer focus
  • Ability to work in a matrix and dynamic organization
