Description
Just Energy (U.S.) Corp. seeks a Gas Scheduler in Houston, Texas.

Requirements-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or related field + 2 years' experience with reading and understanding utility companies and pipeline tariffs as well as scheduling and nominating gas on Algonquin Gas Transmission, Millenium, Empire, and National Fuel pipelines and Baltimore Gas and Electric, Central Hudson, Elizabethtown Gas, and Central Hudson Utilities + experience using Microsoft Excel Visual Basic to create scheduling models, demand forecast, and supply option models.

Responsibilities-

  • Analyze supply and demand factors and coordinate all supply delivery factors accordingly.
  • Schedule and nominate Gas on Utility companies where Just Energy operates in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania including Coned, Orange and Rockland, National Grid, National Fuel, NIMO, NYSEG, RGE, Central Hudson, PSEG, NJNG, E-town, PECO, BGE, and on pipelines that Just Energy use to transport gas to these utility companies including Transco, Texas Eastern, Algonquin Gas TransmissionT, Tennessee, Columbia Gas Transmission, Millennium, Dominion, Iroquois, National Fuel, and Empire.
  • Work with Just Energy's Gas team to ensure compliance with current Gas Supply Agreements and applicable pipeline and tariffs. Optimize gas sourcing to minimize transportation expenses, reconcile monthly transportation fees, and review gas purchase invoices.
  • Design methods and procedures for daily forecasting and perform statistical analysis of the relationship between weather patterns and gas demand, as well as model various supply options.
  • Use Excel VBA to build models to make scheduling more efficient and accurate.
  • Respond effectively to internal and external inquiries regarding the data, analysis, and implications of specific figures and analysis.
  • Assist in developing new markets affecting gas flexibility (gas storage issues, traditional flexibility in supply contracts, and gas supply interruptions), as well as the negotiation of Gas Supply Agreements.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external gas producers, pipeline companies, and other utilities to build and maintain strong business relationships.
