About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE's 5 million customer accounts.

 

Position Overview

The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Finance Manager will contribute directly to the success of the grid Innovation and Modernization (IM) organization by influencing future business plans, investments, and achievement of strategic objectives.  This position will lead one or more analysts and directly develop and implement new business processes and tools for Program/Project Management (PPM).  The successful candidate must have excellent finance and resource management and communication skills and a proven ability to work cross-functionally internally and cross-collaboratively externally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interface with Project Managers, Program Managers (Grid Modernization, Electric Program Investment Charge, etc.), SCE Regulatory and Compliance, SCE Finance, and organizational leadership

  • Ensure compliance with federal, California state, and SCE funds management policies and guidelines

  • Support development and management of project/program budgets

  • Comply with internal/external finance and resource reporting requirement

  • Respond to internal/external queries of a finance or resource utilization nature

  • Develop procedures and tools to support finance and resource management and reporting tasks 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other business related field.

  • Must have six years of combined experience working as a financial analyst, resource analyst or finance manager.

  • Must have five or more years of supervisory/leadership or project management experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint.

  • Programming skills with Visual Basic for Applications expertise is preferred.  PowerPivot experience is preferred.

  • Experience with project planning and tracking using Microsoft Project Desktop or Professional.

  • Possess expert skills with Excel. 

  • Have Earned Value project management experience.

  • Experience with SharePoint or another on-line collaborative tool (e.g. OpenText)

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Have knowledge of data relationships sufficient to develop business queries in a relational context.

Comments

  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • Position will require 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
