RES currently has Turbine Inspector I position open for our site in Quebec

Summary:

Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during the daily activities of the turbine installation and/or mechanical construction, on a large scale wind, solar, transmission, or battery storage project site.

Specific duties:

  • Ensures project work outputs comply with standards and meet contract requirements.
  • Observes and inspects work performed by turbine sub-contractors on site, ensuring building compliance as per drawings, specs, Turbine Installation Safety and mechanical code. 
  • Inspects mechanical components for quality, reports any variances to contract requirements. 
  • Inspects all mechanical placements to ensure that proper equipment is supplied and placed according to project design and industry standard work practices. 
  • Inspect all mechanical installations to ensure that the project and environmental requirements are followed. 
  • Inspect the placement of all mechanical equipment to ensure that project design and tolerances are followed. 
  • Inspect all mechanical installation operations to ensure that the project requirements are followed. 
  • Inspect all materials and equipment supplied by subcontractor to ensure that it meets the project design and industry standard criteria.
  • Ensures Safety requirements, Quality and Environmental procedures are met, completed and compiled in QA/QC for job books.  
  • Learns to interfaces with subcontractors in a professional manner. 
  • Reports and documents variances in subcontractor performance to supervisor. 
  • Provides information for potential change order items.
  • Assists with tracking deliverables on site. 
  • Completes and submits daily paperwork for site activities. 
  • Reviews, documents and assists with completion of job books at project close. 
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Must have a valid current driver license, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Requires Rescue Training Certificate with Skylotec Milan2.0
  • French as second language would be an asset
  • ASP Training an asset

Construction site environment includes early stage permitting, development and auditing through finished roads and features. Extensive travel with driving to remote sites along with office work in field conditions is also included.
