Responsibilities:

  • The Fire Systems Technician will perform service agreement and on call tasks at customer sites to ensure that the relevant systems are properly maintained and operating correctly. The tasks include the following Responsibilities: 
  • Respond to customer service calls emergency on-site or remotely Check indicated points of trouble analyze requirements of system involved and test systems components 
  • Diagnose trouble or defect , determine corrective action and repair system 
  • Advise Account Engineer on equipment required and time estimation for replacement parts 
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on systems and components according to the service level agreement 
  • Test and verify system in accordance with current codes and standards 
  • Make recommendations for improvement or system change 
  • Work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures

Qualifications

  • College degree in electronics or in security systems 
  • 2 to 7 years of inspection, installation and repair experience 
  • Experience in providing high quality service to customers at a wide range of customers 
  • Knowledge of security standards, Building Codes and Fire Systems requirements 
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills 
  • Customer focused and good in relationships 
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to constant change 
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English (French is an asset) 
  • Computer proficiency with MS-Office 
  • CFAA registration mandatory 
  • Ability to participate in 24 hour On-Call rotation program 
  • Valid driver's license
