Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of the Branch Manager, the Fire Service Account Executive prospects for and acquires new Siemens Building Technologies (SBT) business contracts through a focus on assigned accounts, vertical markets, and/or assigned geographical territories 
  • With the support of the Branch Manager, this role develops and implements plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territories 
  • Team sells with other Sales people as appropriate
  • Cross Selling is encouraged to gain further market share 
  • Successful candidate should have a strong Fire sales background, minimum of 2-3 years 
  • Sells SBT contracts, parts, moves/adds or changes to clients as assigned to end users or other assigned accounts 
  • Qualifies potential prospects and leads 
  • Actively prospecting day to day 
  • Formal Sales Training considered an asset 
  • Performs Account Management, assists customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommends suitable resolutions accordingly 
  • Effectively performs needs assessments, creates accurate estimates, and develops service sale proposals and quality estimates

Qualifications

  • 2 years post-secondary education preferably in engineering, business or other related fields or an equivalent combination of education and related practical experience 
  • Requires sales experience, including technical and financial expertise, from a relevant industry with an aptitude to learn and sell for Siemens Building Technology
  • Must be capable of competently utilizing company estimating tools as well as gain an understanding of value engineering, related contractual concepts and financial acumen 
  • Strong administration skills is a must with particular attention to process adherence 
  • Strong negotiation skills, both verbal and written communication required to interact with all levels of Siemens 
  • Strong time management skills, self motivated and driven by growth potential 
  • 2-3 years preferred sales experience, solid technical experience coupled with strong interpersonal skills and evidence of the other areas of competence noted are necessary 
  • Preferred knowledge in Fire Code regulations
