Job Summary:

Responds to customer inquiries regarding quotes, orders, shipments, and company's parts products and services

Job Duties

Serves as primary contact with customers requesting replacement parts from initial contact to order fulfillment

  • Initiates process for quote preparation and order fulfillment:
    • Receives all quote/order requests
    • Enters quotes and orders into the system and begins routing process as necessary
    • Documents customer inquiry information
    • Assists in the development of scope of orders and quotes
    • May expedite quote/order through process
    • Assures quote/order meets customer and internal quality requirements.
    • Presents quote/order acknowledgement to customer
  • Required to do high level research based upon information provided by customer or sales in order to determine parts involved as well as be able to identify when additional support is needed
  • May provide market feedback
  • Informs customer of supply and price trends
  • Develops sales of products and/or services by researching and resolving customer problems, recommending modifications, and coordinating sales negotiations with appropriate company personnel
  • Serves as liaison between all customers (current and potential) and the organization to resolve questions regarding products/services
  • Responsible for securing and renewing orders, and arranging delivery dates.
  • Assists other CRM's with difficult orders or when workload requires

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or in Engineering or equivalent experience in customer service environment. 
  • With degree, two years of customer service experience; without degree, five to seven years of experience
  • Good communication (both written and oral) and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of customer and internal personnel
  • Interpersonal skills, must be able to build relationships, approachability
  • Ability to multitask
  • Detail oriented
  • Works well under pressure and stress and able to manage conflict
  • Systems knowledge preferred:
      • Visibility and/or Oracle ERP system
      • Adept and/or PLM
      • Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
