As a Senior Financial Analyst for B&W in our Barberton office, you will provide financial analysis support to the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis group, as well as the Controllers for various business units. This group is responsible for retrieving, analyzing and presenting data to senior management to aid in the decision making process.
Areas of responsibility include management reporting, forecasting, and providing support to upper management. The ability to easily adapt to various computer systems is a must. The analyst will provide monthly/quarterly reporting to senior management. This position is highly visible to upper management and is a great opportunity for growth within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Improves financial status by analyzing and interpreting results; establishing comparisons, monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data. Assists with special projects, as needed.
- Prepare and distribute financial details; develop reporting mechanisms to assist leadership in disseminating and reviewing financial information.
Key aspects of the position include:
- Management reporting utilizing Hyperion, Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Forecasting
- Providing Analysis support to upper management
- Monthly/Quarterly reporting to Senior Management
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
- This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with strong computer and analytical skills.
- 5+ years' work experience in forecasting, analysis, management reporting, and process improvement would be a plus.
- Strong Hyperion Planning Skills with knowledge of SmartView
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, integrity and team orientation desired.
- Good interpersonal communication skills dealing with peers, supervisors, and upper management
