Description
Work with an experienced team of Product Verification engineers to deliver leading edge technology to the market. The Product Verification group is part of the product team responsible for the development of new products and services in Ciena's Packet Optical Platform Portfolio. As a member of the system verification team the responsibilities cover a broad range and include planning system level test coverage, test execution, automation and scripting, identification and investigation of issues as well as lab system configuration and support.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a senior engineer,
- Perform system level (black box) testing on Ciena's 6500 Packet-Optical Transport product line (Photonics (Layer 0), Ethernet, Layer 2 protocols, Packet/OTN technologies).
- Develop/maintain testcases for functional testing on Ciena's 6500. Develop and maintain automation scripts used in testing.
- Develop/maintain capabilities to control test sets used in functional and system testing.
- Develop tools for automating time consuming setup tasks.
- Prepare and configure systems for test.
- Raise defects and issue performance reports.
- Analyze test results, and provide recommendation to management.
