Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a full-time Research Technician to support high temperature carbonate fuel cells testing and ceramic lab processing activites within our Technology group in Danbury, CT.

  • Under the direction of a scientist or engineer, the Research Technician performs a variety of tests and experiments associated with matrix molten carbonate electrolyte, including slurry preparation, powder characterization and processing
  • Prepares test fixtures and experimental set up for materials evaluation at high temperatures
  • Conducts data collection and compilation
  • Builds and assembles lab-scale fuel cell for testing
  • Assists in developing methods and procedures for ceramic powder processing
  • Documents and maintains detailed records of ongoing tests and experiments
  • Performs troubleshooting of test station and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Interacts with internal and external customers
  • Tracks and records chemicals inventory
  • Performs other duties as assigned
