Overview
Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician - Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics (Off Road) maintain, repair and overhaul heavy vehicles and industrial heavy equipment, both towed and self-propelled.
Shift: 5/2
Duration: :Long Term
Requirments : Pre Access Drug Testing
Rate : Varies
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines and components, both stationary and mobile.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and communicate equipment performance with mechanics.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers specifications and legislated regulations.
- Write service reports in a timely and efficient manner.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade ticket.
- Driver's Abstract
- Ability to work alone or as a team.
- Ability to think logically/problem solve and keep up with changes in technology.
