This position serves as the SPC Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the PI Historian system in the SPC Renewable fleet. This position will closely support and interface with ROC Operators, M&D Analysts, Performance Engineers, Asset Managers, and Renewable Analysts who use PI historian data in their respective roles. This position will also be the lead interface with other technical support functions, such as Technical Services and Information Technology.
This position will be located at the Southern Power Remote Operations Center in Birmingham, AL and will be filled at a level and job classification commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
EXPERIENCE:

Hands-on experience as a System Administrator for OSISoft PI data historian including the Asset Framework (AF) REQUIRED, preferably in a Power Plant or other operational environment.

Experience with data management techniques to access, integrate, and present data from multiple sources is desired (SCADA, Excel, Access, etc.) desired.

Knowledge of / experience with IT infrastructure components that support OSI Soft PI historian desired, including hardware and software components.

Troubleshooting network connectivity issues

Experience in organizing and managing multiple projects at the same time. Proven ability to plan and ability to discern problems that need immediate attention versus those that allow more time to resolve desired.
