Play an integral part in the Project Operations team by working closely with the Design Execution Engineers and Project Managers to develop and maintain an integrated engineering resource schedule for all work executed by Regulated Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Design Execution Engineers and Project Managers, develop optimized engineering resource schedules to meet project deliverables, time restraints and customer expectations
  • Lead the schedule development process of creating an Engineering resource baseline schedule based on the workload estimates
  • Manage the weekly schedule, forecasting schedule changes and working proactively with Engineering and Project leadership to identify issues affecting Project timelines
  • Chair the Planning, Scheduling and Execution weekly resource meetings, provide visibility of coming weeks (e.g., manpower needs/level-loading optimization) and identify resource demand over/under-allocation.
  • Review, update and analyze schedule progress versus plan and provide recommendations to resolve schedule issues
  • Prepare report for schedule compliance and/or barriers
  • Create, maintain and distribute resource allocation and forecast reports
  • Analyze schedule to identify time delivery risk factors, action appropriate changes to mitigate risks
  • Prepare and present new and existing scheduling reports with a focus on Key Performance Indicators
  • Organize and archive schedule data for future use by the organization
  • Act as the business technical point of contact for resource scheduling software upgrades, testing and other initiatives
  • Contribute towards the improvement and development of business process initiatives

Education Required:

  • Post-secondary diploma or Degree is preferred
  • Combined education and experience may be considered

Qualifications:

  • 7 years scheduling experience in construction/utility industry and/or other related experience and knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Experienced in developing, executing and monitoring resource-loaded schedules, WBS and project plans
  • Knowledge of Maximo and Maxavera would be considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of construction project management
