Who You'll Work With
The Advanced Threat Security Team in Cisco's Security Business Group is building a global scale, multi product security platform with an emphasis on Threat Intelligence and Incident Response support.
Our system runs as a distributed cluster in the cloud and shrunk down to a single on-premises appliance. This keeps us focused on simple solutions, clear abstractions between services, composition of services, functional data processing, and minimal state.
Our team is distributed across the U.S. and works from home with occasional office visits and travel -- this requires excellent written communications, self-confidence, trust in your co-workers, and assuming ownership of the problems you encounter.
What You'll Do
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Cisco AMP engineering group based in Calgary to assure quality for the Advanced Malware Protection platform. The hired employee will be responsible for testing on Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms as well as operating within a cloud architecture in both a manual and automated fashion. Furthermore, that person will be required to read technical documents, create test cases/test plans, contribute to overall design, and perform other tasks to improve software quality.

Who You Are
- Ability to work independently when writing test cases, test plans, and other supporting documentation
- Prior experience in collaborating with both technical engineers and non-technical customers
- Experience testing in mixed OS environments including Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Development or automated testing experience in either Ruby or Python
- Testing and/or configuration of security products
