Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the software. Responsible for the design and implementation of relevant ITSG-33 controls to support software security. Ability to translate security requirements into technical and derived requirements and further decomposed into architectural artifacts/diagrams and design specifications. Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems; excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both oral and written; a team player. Experience in virtualized data centre hardware and software architecture and design with background in enterprise environments that contain multiple operating systems, virtualization, multi-tier database systems, web servers and associated communication protocols.
Specific Job Description
The successful applicant will be required to perform tasks such as requirements verification and validation, performance predictions for various systems, support testing activities and perform issue analysis and resolution related to multiple subsystems. They will develop cyber security solutions to assure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the information systems on national and international programs. This will include the creation of cybersecurity architectures and other security artifacts for multiple information systems that adhere to the ITSG-33 guidelines including:
- Business needs for security
- Detailed design specifications with security mechanisms
- Security testing plans
- Operational security procedures
- Security installation procedures
- Information system testing environment with security
- Residual risk assessments
- Security provisions for operations plan.
Basic Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Thorough understanding of IT Security Risk Management: A Lifecycle Approach (ITSG-33)
- Experience implementing, configuring and maintaining IT Security equipment such as firewalls, content inspectors and high assurance guards.
