As a Content Editor, you will set the foundation for a long and prosperous career. Your main responsibility will be to proofread press releases written by our customers for delivery to the media and financial communities.

A day in the life

You will not be creating content, but you will need a strong grasp of syntax, punctuation, and the English and French (asset) language in general to be successful in this position. Your razor-sharp attention to detail will be a prerequisite as you edit, format, and handle various multimedia components on behalf of customers. Your ability to think on your feet and prioritise tasks will serve you well in this fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Your strong computer skills will enable you to quickly learn our internal system.

Our dynamic environment will keep you on your toes, so a flexible attitude and a strong customer-service approach are essential. As the face (or voice) to the customer, your outstanding communication skills and ability to grasp customer needs will allow you to build long-lasting relationships and establish a professional rapport while quickly meeting customer demands. Key to continuing Cision' s reputation for providing excellent customer service, your consultative approach will be essential as you answer questions and proactively recommend our solutions to engage their audience.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

  • Proofreading, editing and/or writing experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and over the phone)
  • Available Monday to Friday for one of the following shifts:

M-F | 7:15 to 2:45

M-F | 00:00 to 7:30 AM

  • Excellent customer service skills, along with proofreading, communication and keyboarding.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, Windows environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Web applications.
  • Must be flexible with schedule as some overtime and holiday coverage is required.
  • Must excel under pressure.
  • Bilingual in English and French 

Work Environment

  • Participation in a work shift rotation, including weekends, is required
  • Training will be full time during the day for 3-6 weeks
