As a Field Operator (Maintenance Assistant) for Enbridge you will play an important role in the safe and efficient operations at the area terminal. As part of a close knit and hardworking team you'll assist in a wide variety of daily responsibilities including- but not limited to:
- Ensure all station facilities appearance and grounds within area of responsibility are maintained to high standard in a safe, clean and orderly fashion by providing general maintenance/assistance: Lawn care, snow removal, pressure washing, painting, sign ordering/installation, site specific orientation delivery, garbage/recycle collection/clean-up, minor repairs or arranging for repairs.
- Provide assistance to local maintenance and operations staff (Technicians, Pipeline Maintenance)
- Assist with performing regular preventative maintenance including tank gauging, measurement and inspections, fire and safety checks, leak detection, etc.
- Reporting any safety, environmental, or equipment issues to direct supervisor in a timely manner and regularly communicate with other departments to ensure operational issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers both external and internal.
- Establish development goals and meet quarterly with People Leader to discuss performance objectives and goals. Complete safety and other required training as assigned.
- Learn and accept additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Daily tasks are seasonal driven ( cutting grass, shoveling snow, tank water management, etc)
- Working closely with other departments to complete lock-outs, equipment maintenance, etc.
- Outdoor and physically demanding work that includes manual lifting of equipment and climbing storage tanks etc.
This opportunity is a "progression position"- meaning that as you grow your knowledge, contributions and experience -your position has the capability to grow as well.
This is a shift work position requiring the ability to work all 12 hours shifts including days and nights, weekends and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Class 5 driver's license in good standing.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Reliable transportation to and from terminal located east Edmonton close to Sherwood Park.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge and experience with various handheld tools and machinery.
- Proven strong work ethic, good computer skills, a willingness to learn and a helpful positive team attitude.
