As a key member of the diverse Price Mechanical team, you will have a broad set of technical skills ready to make an impact on the development of this emergent business unit. Within our vibrant Engineering team, the Draftsperson position offers dynamic challenges in designing HVAC Air Handling Units. We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined, energetic, productive, and can handle multiple priorities in a timely fashion with a high level of accuracy.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Support application engineering with rapid creation of proposal drawings for variety of Air Handling Units.
- Develop detailed models using Solid Works.
- Resolve and consult with others to correct design problems between manufacturing, engineering and application teams.
- Draft technical details including bill of materials, as well as position instructions and comments onto drawings.
- Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, customer service and sales on projects as needed.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma or drafting program certificate.
- Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or HVAC industry.
- An understanding of basic manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with reading manufacturing drawings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Experience with Solid Works.
