Job Summary:
Sr. Software Systems Analyst to provide system analysis services to our client in support of three key tools in a command and control information system. The successful candidate will work as part of an embedded team and will work closely with our clients operational and user communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interact with end users and business leaders to capture and document system and functional requirements.
- Plan, analyze, design, code, test, integrate, implement, evaluate, support and deliver software and/or software changes in order to integrate the current and future command and control system.
- Update the Software Implementation Plan, documentation, and execute test plans.
- Prepare, evaluate, and identify training material (requirements) and deliver training to operational and administrative users as required.
- Participate in the development of documentation, problem resolution, technical evaluation, and testing.
- Define procedures for software metrics collection and analysis.
- Document and implement procedures for establishing and maintaining Software Development Folders or Files including design considerations and constraints.
- Carry out product development and integration in accordance to system specification.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university in engineering or computer science with 4+ years of overall related experience in software development or software maintenance OR a two-year college level certificate in computer science combined with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience OR 10+ years of experience as a System Analyst with emphasis in software development or software maintenance
- 5+ years of demonstrated knowledge and experience within the last 10 years working as a Senior Systems Analyst in a military operational environment or the federal government.
- 3+ years of experience within the last 10 years in analyzing software performance and system sizing.
- 3+ years of experience within the last 10 years identifying training requirements
- 3+ years of experience within the last 10 years of designing interfaces for integration of 2+ years of experience within the last 6 years supporting the implementation of an IM/IT project multiple applications
- 1+ years of experience within the last 5 years supervising, monitoring and managing the rollout of software upgrades such as service packs, security patches, and anti-virus products.
- Currently possess an active Government of Canada, Level II Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with all aspects of application life cycle management.
- Experience maintaining test, dev, training, and production environments (code management, software migration, etc.).
- Experience planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, integration, implementation of software and/or software changes.
- Automated testing experience (writing automated test scripts, especially for the UI components).
