Who You Are
You Have
- Ability to define, architect, design, and deliver new software protocols and features for the ACI Platform
- Ability to write complete functional and design specs independently
- Ability to write portions of product specifications
- Ability to design & Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly
You will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of the Layer 2 and Layer 3 data center technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to join Cisco's latest acquisition in the Data Center space. The job involves working on a cutting edge Data center product. We are looking for candidates who strive in a fast paced environment. The work involves design and development in customized networking environment for some key system software. You will be part of a fast paced team responsible for delivering quality code for large complex systems requirements. Open communications, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success are the foundations of the team. You set your own limits for learning and achievements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong C/C++ and python programming skills
- Experience in L2 and L3 Ethernet switching and routing protocols (some or all of the following protocols; BGP, IS-IS, FabricPath/Trill, IGMP, OSPF, STP, LACP, LLDP )
- Hands on experience on switch/router embedded system software development
- Strong problem solving and software development/troubleshooting skills
- 8+ years of related work experience is required
Desired Skills
- Experience with high availability related to switch/router products is a plus
- Experience in data center fabrics and corresponding technologies like VxLAN is a plus
