e are pleased to announce the opening of a full-time position in our Switcher and Router Product Development Unit. The position we are seeking is an Engineering Technician/Engineering Aide under the supervision of The Director of Hardware Engineering.

Support the R&D engineering team by offloading tasks such as as rework, equipment updates, board and system testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage PLM (Omnify) system interface for R&D as the local "super user"
- Pull part numbers, manage BOMs, manage data flows from R&D for drawings used in the PCBA development process
- Interface with sourcing team to help procure components
- Interface with Core team to ensure all data necessary to build prototypes is in place at the proper time.
- Rework boards and manage process for rework sent outside our lab
- Perform mechanical assembly of prototypes and test fixtures
- Setup and perform tests as directed by engineers
- Maintain lab equipment

Requirements
- Two year technical degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, IC's, FPGA's, etc.)
- Ability to read schematics and trouble shoot circuits
- Basic solder and rework skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of PLM systems such as Omnify is desired
- With help of manager, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Exposure to audio and video systems, and Ethernet networking is a plus
- Familiarity with test equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Logic analyzers is beneficial
