Description
Relative to aircraft/engine maintenance and aircraft/engine overhaul. Including the inspection of parts to ensure that they meet Transport Canada and Company standards of airworthiness with regard to their condition, the materials and procedures used, as well as the work performed by other personnel. Employees must be able to work abroad if company needs dictate such requirements.
Specific Job Description:
- May transport parts, components, modules and/or engines from one work station/center to another.
- May perform cleaning of parts, provided that employee possesses work competency to perform such tasks in cleaning and blasting. Such cleaning operations may occur within, or outside of the cleaning work center.
- May operate motorized vehicles when required by the company.
- May aide and assist engineering inquiries, reports and documentation.
- Must operate a computerized Plasma workstation. - May recommend changes to Planning documents.
- In addition, employees may be required to temporarily work in another category, provided that the employee in question is competent to perform the temporary duties required.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Must have 1- 5 years experience
- Must have served a recognized welding apprenticeship or have equivalent experience in the trade of which employed and must possess the ability to carry out any work in the trade per approved documents.
- Possess the ability to use the correct tools, methods, techniques and TIG equipment required to perform maintenance tasks, plus have sufficient knowledge of materials, specifications and blueprint reading in order to appraise and certify using approved standards for all repaired, overhauled or fabricated parts or units in the respective field.
- Experience welding Aeronautic pieces.
- CNC and robotics experience is an asset
