OIL LAB TECHNICIAN (Entry-Level)
Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, and testing at our Angleton, Texas Service Center. We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Technician to work in our Oil & Grease Analysis Lab.
Job Responsibilities:
- Check in daily transformer oil samples, setup the test for lab analysis.
- Run lab instruments to test samples and log results.
- Enter customer information and oil sample test data in various databases.
- Ship and receive customer samples and sample collection kits.
- Clean and maintain glass-wear used for analysis.
- Safely and responsibly dispose of oil waste.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: to qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of skills & knowledge; some college a plus.
- Good PC skills using MS Windows, Excel, Word and database entry.
- Attention to detail, dependable, reliable, responsible, and commitment to excellent quality of work.
- Fluent in English in both written and spoken forms.
- Lift and move up to 30 lbs., have steady hands when handling samples, and use a PC with our without reasonable accommodation.
- Work with and around oil and other chemicals safely.
- Reliable and dependable for a 7am-4pm Monday - Friday work schedule and be available to work periodic overtime when the workload requires.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests, and a pre-employment criminal background check.
