Responsibilities:
- Perform all verification work surrounding engines and engine accessories, including the installation of engines or engine accessories on verification equipment. Able to startup and monitor engines or engine accessories using verification documents. With the appropriate training, records and compiles verification results and reports following instrument verification. Must also complete, compile and compare performance test data to key performance indicators (KPI).
- Must correct any minor air, fuel or oil leak and replace any accessories required to properly complete verifications. The employee must perform initial troubleshooting steps and identify test problems that require a basic understanding of engine functioning and auxiliary systems
- Must perform routine inspections, along with test bench installation and auxiliary system maintenance, while ensuring the readiness and availability of testing systems.
Secondary tasks include:
- Electrical verifications using equipment (multimeter, DitmCO)
- Repairing and polishing components using repair schematics
- Repairing various parts/components (nut/insert, shank, trap nut, helicoil, etc.)
- Rubbing pads
- Starting and stopping gas compressors
- Assisting in development program pre-tests, risk analyses, preparation tests, and post-testing (lessons learned)
- Assisting in test bench configuration modifications
- Installing pipes that were removed during the engine's transportation to the test bench
- Removing pipes from engines that required storage.
Qualifications
- ENA, EMAM or CCAA aeronautical degree
