Description
Summer students perform a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks including, but not limited to: equipment and shop maintenance, yard upkeep and supporting our Service and Maintenance Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Equipment and Shop Maintenance including:
- painting services
- cleaning and organizing facilities and stations
- Yard maintenance:
- lawn mowing,
- weed trimming,
- hand digging,
- raking
- Assisting Operations staff with a variety of tasks as directed
- General administrative duties including filing and working with spreadsheets
Requirements
Qualifications
- Enrolled as a post secondary student, on a full-time basis, for the fall 2016 and winter 2017 semesters
- Valid Class 5 Driver's licence
- Available from May 1 to August 31, 2017
- Returning to school in the fall of 2017
- Physically Fit
Additional Information
- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, may be required.
- The successful candidate will be subject to a background check, that includes drug and alcohol testing.
- Students must be prepared to work outdoors
