The HSE Advisor is part of the Project team reporting directly to the Project Manager. The main goal of the function is coordinating, preparing and supporting all HSE activities in the field. Field level advisors act as a front-line resource to help execute the organization's health, safety and environmental management system intended to protect the organization's employees, the environment, and property against harm or damage.
Must be Local to Fort McMurray.
Demonstrate the capability to work under the direction of HSE leadership on multiple tasks requiring judgment to resolve problems
Ensure that training and documentation systems are in order and record all employees training and competency requirements
Conduct safety inspections, observations, incident investigations, risk assessments, audits and prepare method of statement/reports
Complying with and enforcing company policies / procedures and adhering to applicable health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements
Communicates and follows-up with senior management to ensure that corrective action plans are developed and implemented in a timely manner
Ensure that regular safety meetings are carried out and the proper documentation is completed and logged as per company policy
Provide HSE orientation to new employees, subcontractors and visitors
Other duties as assigned
