The Technical Writer will be a key addition to our team as Novinium aggressively expands its R&D portfolio. The tech writer will plan, write, format and draft content and layout of technical reports, manuals, descriptions and specifications. This role requires compiling analyzed data, schematics, safety procedures, photos, comments and results provided from engineers, operations experts and managers; then combining these to create technical documents. The tech writer will review and edit internal and outgoing documents and communicate with clients, field crews and customers as necessary to ensure the validity and factual accuracy of technical data.
Technical Writer Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, write, format, edit and deliver highest quality technical documentation.
- Integrate data and inputs from multiple sources to produce cohesive and factually accurate instructions, manuals and reports.
- Compile, edit and proofread technical summary documents.
- Assist Engineering with keyword searches, online research and technical/competitive intelligence.
- Assist in creation and tracking of all engineering technical documentation.
- Assist with presentation graphics.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience writing and working with technical documentation.
- Experience planning, writing, formatting and drafting content and layout of technical reports, manuals, descriptions and specifications.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize complex tasks.
- Outstanding written/verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive computer skills with strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Visio.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (now Cloud) products, a strong plus.
- Experience with database operation, such as Microsoft Access, a plus.
