This Summer Intern will work as part of the Client Services team in Information Technology.
Client Services supports S&C's PC install-base of 3,000 systems across 15 offices in 6 different countries (e.g., 6 different time zones). The technical knowledge desired includes PC hardware, PC operating systems, application software support and networking/telecommunications. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Client Service
- Responding to end-user support tickets to clarify and assist the client with problem resolution and hardware/software needs
- Engender the confidence of clients that work will be completed at the required level of quality
- Purchase or assist with acquiring approved hardware and software
Technical Support
- Follow established standard work and best practices; define new standard work as appropriate
- Identify and correct computer-related problems caused by hardware/software failures
- Document software installation instructions and troubleshooting guides for application software
- Support printer hardware
Project Work
- Support project efforts as assigned
- Record time spent on project tasks and completed project tasks in timesheets
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
- Student in good standing at an accredited university at the Bachelors level in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of SolidEdge CAD/CAM and analytical software is a plus.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
