- Develop automated test strategies to support a global Level and Weighing manufacturing footprint
- Develop software and hardware standards for product test equipment
- Collaborate with Research and Development to create test requirements and test equipment for new and existing products
- Modify, maintain and improve test equipment, processes, software and fixtures
- Develop preventative maintenance plans for existing production tests
- Provide estimates of cost and time to create or modify test equipment
- Create and execute verification plans for test equipment
- Support production, quality and engineering functions with automated test data for quality and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate on best practices with other Siemens manufacturing sites for test strategies
- Purchase and maintain spare parts inventory for test equipment
- Create and update documentation for operation and maintenance of test equipment and processes
- Analyze, troubleshoot and correct automatic testing problems both hardware and software in a production environment
- Collect and analyze test data to identify problem areas and implement improvements
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- 3-4 years of experience with electronics test equipment
- Experience programming Genrad and flying probe in-circuit testers
- Proficient in HP Agilent VEE programming
- Experience in improving and maintaining manual and automatic test equipment and fixtures
- Proficient in the use of all MS Office applications
- Understand and work with schematics and CAD information
- Strong analytical problem solving and technical skills
- Good communication and customer focus when working with internal and external customers
- Ability to prepare and communicate technical information
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and set priorities
