Description
  • Facilitates execution of continuous improvement plans
  • Facilitates the execution of project program design
  • Identifies resource needs and suggests justification
  • Contribute to decisions on business operations
  • May perform active role in managing client relationship to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the group to ensure a smooth workflow and achievement of goals
  • Performs work in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols
  • Responsible for delivery of complex technical projects or programs
  • Supports the project/program management role definition of schedule, budget, risk, change management and resource allocation for complex projects or programs
  • Projects are subject to broad practices and defined procedures covered by functional precedents and policies achievement of a circumscribed operational activity and to managerial direction
  • Troubleshoots and resolves semi-complex problems
  • Prepares and maintains quality and safety certifications
  • Participate in departmental budgets
  • Completes maintenance contracts and service agreements and ensures they are being met 
Requirements
  • Technologies: A sound understanding of practices and precedents of the theory and principles in a similar discipline
  • Methodologies: Alternative or combined skills in understanding and motivating people are important in the highest degree
  • Professional Knowledge: Policies and precedents, legislative acts, guidelines and legal requirements. Understanding of functions and how the functions align with and support the business and operational processes
  • Education: Bachelors Degree or education in Mechanical or Electrical preferred, and/or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Professional: Demonstrates a knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures for supervised work groups
  • Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work, direction, motivation, performance management and disciplinary action
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in a directly related field
  • Project/Process: Thinking within a well-defined frame of reference and toward specific objectives
  • Differing situations requiring search for solutions
  • Leadership: Supervises administrative and/or technical employees, typically in production environment
