Description
- Work with production, procurement, quality & project management to introduce optimum manufacturing processes for current and new products, improving quality and cycle time.
- Create process flow charts and implement new process/work-centre layouts, improving productivity.
- Specify/design, justify and introduce equipment to meet requirements of new products, new processing methods or to meet increased capacity requirements.
- Specify/design, justify and introduce jigs/fixtures/tools to meet requirements of new products, new processing methods or to meet increased capacity requirements.
- Write manufacturing procedures to document assembly processes or equipment operation.
- Train operators in correct assembly processes or equipment operation.
- Process engineering specialist will be responsible for supporting all process activities related to repairing, painting, final assembly and handling of wind turbine blades
Requirements
- Min 8yrs Manufacturing / Project Management experience
- Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Ideal candidate will have experience in a molding and composite manufacturing environment (Fiber Glass, Coating, Epoxy, Resin)
- Experience in developing process flows and plant/process/work-centre layouts to support new manufacturing processes.
- Advanced computer skills i.e. spreadsheet, word processing, AutoCAD
- Experience in selection, justification, commissioning & installation of new processes and equipment.
- Project Management experience is a definite asset
- Excellent organizational and team skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required when working with internal or external customers.
