Description
  • The successful candidate for this role will be technically savvy, contributing to company profitability, and driving customer satisfaction by providing technical account management to specified customers and maintaining the highest standards of servicing and commissioning of HVAC and Building Automation Systems.
  •  Supervise the group of Service Technicians assigned to service building  automation relevant systems (electronic and pneumatic). 
  • Ensure that the technicians are operating correctly and are properly maintained - thus, contributing to customer satisfaction and Company profitability. 
  • Involved in coaching, motivating and ensuring best performance from the service technicians, in line with set productivity and efficiency target levels. 
  • Work with the Service Manager, and with projects managers, project coordinators, other supervisors and with dispatchers to establish personnel requirements and staffing levels, to develop weekly work plans (ex., for maintenance visits, repairs, training, demonstrations, emergency coverage, etc.) and to organize necessary tools, equipment or materials.
  • Manage the Contract Renewal process for assigned accounts in conjunction with the Service Manager Represent SBT in all client discussion to secure each renewal. 
  • Review and ensure contract costs are accurate to encourage repeat year on year profitable renewal.
  • Generate accurate customized competitive proposals for small system modifications and repairs
  • Visit technicians onsite and ensure that quality and service standards are achieved in accordance with customer requirements and Company quality directives. 
  • Provide technical support to new recruits and oversee their integration. 
  • Ensure that all the necessary information/documentation (work reports, timesheets and expense reports, etc.) are provided and transferred in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Electronics or related field. 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar supervisory functions (ideally, in instrumentation, building mechanics, HVAC, or other areas relevant to the automation systems industry). 
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills (coaching and motivating) as well as proven organization skills (planning, prioritizing, delegating). 
  • Self-motivated, you are calm under pressure and have experience in delivering high quality customer service to a broad range of internal and external clients;  
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and MS-Office applications, in addition to the necessary know-how of programming and networks. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset.
