Eaton's Lighting Division is seeking a Technical Application Specialist. The position will be based in our Peachtree City, GA facility.
Position Overview:As a Technical Application Specialist, you would be responsible for the planning, creation, and delivery of submittal drawings and supporting documentation. This person will support the quotation, field service and sales teams. This position is responsible for applying the appropriate knowledge, skills, tools and techniques required to communicate and document the correct type, quantity and installation location of our MWS and lighting control systems. The Technical Application Specialist acts as the knowledge expert in commercial and industrial drawing packages as they relate to Lighting and Lighting controls. Additionally, this position is responsible for implementing continuous improvements to the project management methodology on an ongoing basis.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Generate custom wiring diagrams and project specific layouts
- Coordinate transmittal of plans, drawings, O&M's and documents
- Follow up on outstanding projects
- Maintain project deadlines
- Research and document NEC standards
- Develop a communication line with Quotations, Field Services, Product Managers, Technical Support, Agents, and Inside Sales teams
- Lead internal product & application training sessions with team members
- Perform additional responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of CAD experience or equivalent system experience
- Minimum 3 years of customer support experience
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates within a 50 miles radius of Peachtree City will be considered.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years experience in designing lighting control systems
- Minimum 3 years within the lighting industry
- Experience with Bluebeam systems
- Experience with Commercial Lighting Controls
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Installation
- LC or CLEP certified
Position Criteria:
- Proficient knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers via the phone, e-mail and other written and verbal communication mediums.
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and a desire to actively contribute to the group's success.
