Description
Support Price's sales and profit goals related to a specific product category or products. Provide technical support to internal and external customers in order to facilitate the specification and sale of the relevant products, including guidance on application, performance, troubleshooting, competitiveness, sales and pricing of product and services. The primary responsibility of this position is to improve our sales closure rate through technical support offered to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical product support to external customers including, Sales Representatives, Contractors, Engineers, Architects.
- Provide industry information and market feedback to Design Engineering and Sales teams.
- Be knowledgeable on product specific standards and industry requirements.
- Select, size, and create performance data for customer products.
- Troubleshoot equipment and installation issues.
- Create training presentations and conduct training seminars for external customers and internal employees.
- Provide competitor cross references.
- Assist Order Entry and Customer Service teams by reviewing project requirements, pricing, and performance verification.
- Support software development.
- Assist in the development of marketing material.
- Maintain and review catalogue information.
- Create technical documents to address frequently asked questions.
- Coordinate product testing and mock-ups with the lab personnel.
Requirements
- Graduated from a Mechanical Engineering program (Degree or diploma).
- Ability to multi-task and work in a time sensitive environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to be a team player with a strong focus on customer service.
- Experience with Microsoft office programs.
