Description

AECOM has great opportunities for Electricians that would support non-hazardous OCONUS and CONUS activities, with the possibility of deployments lasting 3 to 6 months at a time. Selected candidates will follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes; interpret, explain and apply building codes, rules and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities; use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps; advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous; maintain records and submit in a timely manner; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools; diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem; connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes; test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system; plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes and other duties as directed.

These are contingent positions based on mission requirements. Actual start date(s) will vary.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have an Active TS Clearance.
  • Associates (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school.
  • 10+ years related experience and / o training.
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Tourist passport before start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CI or FS Poly preferred.
  • OCONUS experience preferred.
  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician preferred.
  • Electrical Master's License preferred.
  • NFPA 70 Training preferred.
  • First Aid Training preferred.
  • Current, valid U.S. passport preferred.
