Account Manager Domestic USA and Canada       Outdoors and Tactical Systems (OTS)

Job Summary:

  • The Account Manager is responsible for opening new retail and online dealer accounts in the US and Canada with focus on Outdoors and Tactical markets and Sporting Goods Industry. Develop and organize the market strategy and be responsible for lead generation, cold calling, assisting with management of client relationships and supporting the team efforts to grow business from existing clients as well as the generation of new business through lead qualification.

  • This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy selling, are achievement-oriented and believe in performance rewards for exceeding annual sales goals through strong collaboration with BD team. Accomplish targeted performance objectives on a consistent basis. Identify prospects utilizing creative lead generating techniques. Proactively reach out to potential new accounts and customers to explain FLIR OTS products, offerings and recommendations to qualified leads.      
  • Proactively reach out to existing key accounts and customers to establish rapport and build relationships; Responsible for maintaining client base and their respective orders. Apply a consistent consultative sales approach to contact, follow-up, nurture, and turn prospects into closed sales.     
  • Work closely with the VP to develop any special opportunities, sales and marketing stratagem in order to maintain and grow accounts.     
  • Assure that dealers are aware of and act accordingly to federal regulations and export restrictions (ITAR/EAR).                
  • Support Dealers with trade show units, demo equipment as well as attending select trade shows in order to promote the brand on behalf of the company. Ability to travel 20% of the time.
Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • 3 years of technical, instruments or industrial sales
  • BS or BA degree and/or any equivalent combination of education and experience with a background in sales, marketing or business administration
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills and ability to convey detail and regulations in a fluid and understandable manner verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to works independently & proactively to avoid & resolve issues.
  • Proven track record to illustrate ability to learn complex technical instruments.
  • Proficient with computer skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, any prior experience with a CRM is preferred.

Other Qualification:

  • An active relationship with some of the following retail chains a plus: REI, Lowes, Academy Sports, Dick's Sporting goods. Must have strong presentation skills and salesmanship.
  • Experience in customer service is a plus.
  • LE, Military and Hunting experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge on Night Vision, Thermal Imaging Systems, Binoculars and Scopes is a plus.
  • Strong Sales Closer-Exude Confidence

  • Team Player Attitude
