Description
Position will be responsible for all aspects of product cost standards, cost of goods sold reporting, variance analysis, inventory valuations and reporting while ensuring cost accounting compliance with company policies and procedures.
Detailed Description:
- Establishes and maintains product cost standards including labor, overhead and materials.
- Reviews monthly variances and understand cost impact.
- Performs inventory valuations, reconciliations and reporting.
- Determines monthly warranty reserves.
- Analyzes, develops and reports on E&O material.
- Performs month end account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Performs month end SAP CO processes, involves inventory, wip, and variances. Analyze and reconcile as needed.
- Monthly Project Reporting and Internal Order set up and maintenance.
- Assists with SOX 404 compliance.
- Interfaces with KMPG regarding inventory and COGS.
- Supports Gross Profit Margin reporting by reviewing, correcting and reconciling SAP transactions for detailed reporting. Reconciles GL accounts and constructs detailed reports. Reconciliation involves a complex 3 pronged SAP structure of GLs (FI), profit centers (PCA) and product subgroups (COPA) for LOB reporting.
- Service Order financial data management, including monitoring status, correcting accounting structure, correcting transactions and month end Financial SAP processing and GL reconciliation. Involves a high level of analytical ability.
- Monitors Inventory Scrap Activity.
- Supports the general accounting function as required.
- Special Projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of general accounting experience, to include at least 1 year of cost accounting
- Knowledge of General Accounting Principles
- Basic MS Excel skills required
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Intermediate MS Excel skills strongly desired
- Experience with an ERP or MRP System, SAP strongly desired
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired
