VirtualArmour International Inc
Leading U.S. Utility Provider signs Multi-Year Contract with VirtualArmour

June 30, 2017

Premier Managed Services Provider, VirtualArmour International Inc. (the "Company") (CSE:VAI) (Frankfurt:3V3) announced that it had finalized a multi-year contract with a large U.S. utility provider. The contract includes the design and provisioning of updated network infrastructure - including hardware and software - specialist implementation and ongoing Managed Services.

VirtualArmour secured the contract as it was felt to have industry-leading expertise in the client's specific areas of security concern. It was also deemed able to build out the type of tailored solution that would efficiently transition the customer's current IT infrastructure to a more scalable, efficient and robust platform.

"With increasing hacker activity within the sector, Utilities have been forced to significantly increase focus on securing their infrastructure," said Andrew Douthwaite, VP of Managed Services at VirtualArmour. "The cybersecurity risks faced by organizations in this field are exponentially higher than those in many other industries. This is due, for the most part, to the sheer volume of individual connections to their networks. In our experience, there does still remain a large number of Utility providers that aren't aware of the scale of the threat and the necessary patches and protections they require to properly secure their infrastructure. Ensuring the flow of critical information between industry, Government, and Utilities is still a challenge, but remains essential for ensuring robust security practices are adhered to across the board."
