We specialize in lighting, power, signal and communication systems.

EPCOR has one (1) full time permanent position available!

The Manager, Contract Administration and Project Control is accountable for managing contract administration and the billing process. This includes ensuring contracts are maintained, tracked and accessible in a central location, jobs are set up properly, jobs are closed in a timely manner, and the suggested billings are accurate when sent to the projects group for approval. 

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Manager, Contract Administration and Project Control is accountable for:

  • Providing input to the Finance and Billing operational plan and direction.
  • Ensuring deliverables of direct report positions are aligned and integrated with the business plans and strategies.
  • Ensuring an on-going effective positioning and appropriate relationships between Contract Management and Billing and teams in Finance and Billing throughout the company.
  • Identifying the necessary budget requirements for the provision of contract management and billing.
  • Managing the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics such as:
    • Accuracy of job setup information against contract
    • Accuracy of suggested billings
    • Timeliness of suggested billings
    • Accuracy of reports
    • Timeliness of job closures and write-offs
  • Reviewing and improving the contract administration and project control processes to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks.
  • Creating, reviewing and improving procedures and processes around the billing process.
  • Maintaining an effective method to retain contracts and ensure contracts are accessible.
  • Developing and following effective controls with respect to the job setup and closeout process.
  • Maintaining backup and records management for audit; year-end short term incentive pay (STIP) calculations; and metrics
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A university degree in Business or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a progressively responsible business role
  • An understanding of the EPCOR Technologies business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply relevant knowledge and technical skills to monitor adherence to internal processes, policies and standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of PENTA billing systems and Technologies Project cycles.
  • Experience working with contract terms and conditions.
  • Experience working with Oracle.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, expertise in MS Excel is considered an asset.
